Overview

Role: UX and UI Designer

Company: Scriptic

Project Type: Design of an Interactive Story Platform (Similar to Netflix)

Challenges
  • Building a UI that could flexibly support future content types, genres, or features without needing redesigns or dev intervention.

  • Making a growing content library browsable and intuitive without overwhelming users.

  • Supporting episodic or serialized content structures in a way that’s familiar but not derivative.

  • Designing a library UI that felt rich and complete, even with a small number of titles at launch..

Objective

Design a scalable, modular platform interface capable of supporting a growing library of interactive content—requiring minimal ongoing input from design or engineering—and built to serve the company’s evolving needs over the next several years.

Approach

  • Research & Art Direction: Competitor analysis, defining 'premium feel'

  • UX Design Iteration: Wireframes, navigation flows, layout

  • UI Visual Treatment: High-fidelity screens

  • Documentation & Handoff: Developer-ready assets, usage guides

Solution and Results

I designed a modular, scalable, and flexible category system that empowered the marketing and live-ops teams to operate autonomously, enabling them to A/B test content orderings, experiment with poster variations, and surface newly released titles dynamically.

While not every element of the design was implemented, the foundational system continues to serve the platform even as the company shifted toward a free-to-play model, demonstrating its adaptability and longevity. In addition to the content library, I also redesigned and restructured the in-game settings interface to improve clarity, reduce friction, and align with the overall platform UI.
